Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Hatem Ghazi, Administrative Assistant at the College of Marine Sciences, guided a research team consisting of Dr. Ashwaq Talib Abbas and Master's student Sajjad Khalid Mohsen on a scientific expedition to the intertidal zones in Iraqi waters off Basra Governorate, near Khor Al-Zubair, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

This expedition was undertaken to fulfill the requirements of a Master's thesis project in the Department of Natural Marine Sciences. The scientific aspects of the project and the assigned tasks were documented by the Dean of the College.
