Breast cancer awareness campaign at the College of Marine Sciences

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Professor Dr. Nawras Abdul Ghani Abdul Zahra, Scientific Assistant Dean, and Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Hatem Ghazi, Administrative Assistant Dean, the Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit and the Student Activities Department at the college, held a breast cancer awareness campaign entitled "Our Steps Are Pink for Every Woman Who Fights, and Our Hope Is Great for Every Woman Who Has Fighted and Continues to Fight." The campaign took place in Hall 4 on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

The campaign included several targeted activities, including the screening of a series of awareness videos that provided valuable information about breast cancer, methods of early detection, and the importance of self-examination. Brochures, awareness materials, and pink ribbons were also distributed to encourage participation and raise awareness.

The campaign aimed to promote health awareness among students and the community. A number of professors and students participated, including:
