On Monday, September 29, 2025, a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the College of Marine Sciences to review the implementation of the approved government and institutional program.

The committee was received by the Dean of the College, Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, along with the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, Professor Dr. Nouris Abdulghani Abdul Zahra and Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Hatem Ghazi, and the Quality Officer, Dr. Imad Jassim Al-Shawi.

The visit included a review of the priorities for implementing the government program, and the committee was briefed on the efforts made by the college. They also toured several departments, units, and laboratories, expressing their admiration for the academic and technical level.
This visit comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and universities, with the aim of raising the level of education and scientific research in the country.
