
Assistant Professor Dr. Fadhel Jabbar Farhan, a lecturer at the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra, participated in the doctoral dissertation committee at the College of Education for Pure Sciences/Department of Life Sciences at the University of Basra. The thesis was presented by student Alaa Mohammed Rashad Abdul Amir. The thesis was entitled:
"Evaluation of the effectiveness of nanoparticles manufactured using plant extracts against antibiotic-resistant bacteria associated with burn injuries in some hospitals in Basra Governorate."
The thesis aims to study the antibacterial properties of nanoparticles prepared using plant extracts and their role in reducing the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria associated with burn injuries, which is one of the most prominent clinical challenges in healthcare facilities.
Dr. Fadhel Jabbar Farhan presented his scientific observations on the thesis, commending the importance of the topic from a research and practical perspective, given its role in supporting modern trends in the use of nanotechnology in the medical field.
At the end of the discussion, the committee commended the student's outstanding academic effort and recommended that he be awarded a doctorate degree with a grade befitting the level of the research submitted.
