Participation of the lecturer in the College of Marine Sciences, Department of Natural Marine Sciences, in the Student Conference for Postgraduate Studies in the College of Agriculture

The lecturer at the College of Marine Sciences, Department of Natural Marine Sciences and a doctoral student at the College of Agriculture (Ashwaq Talib Abbas) participated in the postgraduate studies conference held at the University of Basra, College of Agriculture, by presenting an illustrated poster on the effect of silver and chitosan nanoparticles on growth parameters in shrimp Metapenaeus affinis. During the participation, the lecturer explained the importance of using nanotechnology in the field of aquaculture, as this technology achieves in enhancing growth and increasing survival rates for shrimp, in addition to using crustacean waste that is not important for human consumption as a raw material to obtain nanochitosan, as it is a natural, available and inexpensive organic material.
