
The Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit at the College of Marine Sciences, held an exhibition of photos of martyrs who fell victim to crimes against humanity or who dedicated themselves to defending the Iraqi people against genocidal crimes that violated human rights.
This exhibition was organized in appreciation of their great contributions to the service of social and humanitarian values, and to commemorate their eternal memory.
Second-year students from the Department of Applied Marine Sciences and first-year students from the Department of Natural Marine Sciences participated in this humanitarian effort, an initiative aimed at instilling the concepts of human rights and the values of sacrifice and redemption.
The exhibition was held under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, and the Head of the Human Rights Unit at the College, Assistant Professor Alaa El-Din Karim Atshan, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Nour Abdel Ghani. The exhibition witnessed widespread interaction from academic circles, including professors, staff, and students, reflecting the profound humanitarian impact of the event and the important and supportive role played by the college's deanship in encouraging such purposeful initiatives to instill the values of loyalty and sacrifice in students.
