The College of Marine Sciences Council held its regular meeting on Wednesday, December 18, headed by the Dean of the College, to discuss a number of important issues related to developing the educational process and enhancing research activity in the college.
The meeting addressed plans to update academic curricula in line with the modern requirements of the labor market, in addition to strengthening partnerships with local and international research institutions. Performance reports for the current academic year were also reviewed and the challenges facing the college and ways to overcome them were discussed.
During the meeting, the Dean of the College stressed the importance of supporting students and faculty members to achieve academic and research excellence, noting that the college strives to be a leading center in marine sciences at the regional and international levels.
The meeting concluded with recommendations aimed at improving the learning environment and developing services provided to students, while identifying mechanisms to follow up on the implementation of these recommendations in upcoming meetings
