On Monday, 20 Sept 2021, the College of Marine Sciences organized the assessment conference of the academic year 2020-2021. The main objectives of it were to improve the teaching work, identify weaknesses, address them, and solve the available problems. The Dean, Professor Dr. Talib Al-Saad, praised the college achievements despite the exceptional situation and quarantine of the COVID19 pandemic. Dr. Wisal Fakhri Hassan, head of the Applied Marine Sciences and Dr. Abdul-Hussein Hatem Ghazi, the head of the Department of Natural Marine Sciences gave presentations reviewing the most important achievements of the two departments during the academic year. The structure and teaching staff in the two departments, research activity and publication were also discussed as well as scientific literature, in addition to the number of graduates and students' graduation projects. The recommendations of the conference highlighted developing the capabilities of the teaching staff in the electronic learning methods, enhancing communication with students, activating the official email of the University of Basrah in official correspondences.
