In a special ceremony held by the chancellery of the University of Basrah on 1st June 2021, three professors of the College of Marine Sciences were honored for their distinguished achievements in publishing research papers in the global journals of interest. Their contributions helped elevate the University of Basrah rank among the world universities. They are; Prof. Dr. Hamed Al-Saad, Dean of the College of Marine Science, Prof, Dr. Wesal Fakhry, Head of the Department of Applied Marine Sciences, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Imad Jassem, Head for the Quality Unit in the college.
