On Tuesday morning, June 30, 2026, the competitive entrance examination for postgraduate (Master's) studies for the 2026-2027 academic year was held at the College of Marine Sciences, University of Basra. The examination took place in a calm and well-organized atmosphere, with precise administrative and academic procedures in place.

The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, inspected the examination halls to monitor the progress of the competitive examination for applicants to the Master's degree in both the applied and natural sciences departments. He was accompanied by his Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Nawras Abdulghani Abdul Zahra, and his Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Hatem Ghazi, who emphasized the importance of adhering to ministerial regulations and instructions and ensuring a suitable environment for the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
