The Administrative Assistant of the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Abdul Hussein Hatem Ghazi, along with Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Mutighi, participated in a ministerial committee tasked with evaluating the academic and scientific standing of science colleges in Iraqi public universities for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Their first visit was to the College of Science at Sumer University in Dhi Qar Governorate, where they were received by the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Haloul Mohammed, the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, and the heads of the academic departments.

The committee toured the college, inspecting the scientific laboratories, classrooms, and various other facilities. They also completed the ministerial evaluation form.
