On Wednesday morning, July 8, 2026, the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar for Master's student Alaa Jumaa Jaid from the Department of Applied Marine Sciences, dedicated to discussing current environmental challenges.

During the seminar, the researcher presented a detailed research paper on "The Environmental Impact of Wastewater on Water Quality," showcasing the data and findings he obtained. The seminar was attended by a select group of professors, researchers, and graduate students interested in environmental issues.
