The Dean of the College of Basic Sciences at the University of Basra is leading the digital development and academic advancement within the college.

In response to the directives of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, the Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Nawras Abdul Ghani Abdul Zahra, and the heads of departments, conducted a comprehensive field visit to the classrooms during the morning session.

The Dean encouraged students to activate their accounts on the SIS system and the IQ-Learn platform to ensure the continuity of the educational process using modern technology. He also emphasized the importance of students watching the instructional videos explaining how to register, to ensure they benefit fully from the digital learning tools. Furthermore, he stressed the necessity for faculty members to upload lectures and academic materials electronically according to the approved schedules.

The Dean concluded his visit by affirming that these measures aim to improve the quality of academic and technical performance at the college, serving the best interests of the students and the university.
