The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Marine Sciences/Development and Continuing Education Center, University of Basra, held a seminar entitled "A Guide to Scientific Research" in the College of Marine Sciences' conference hall.

The seminar included a lecture by Professor Amjad Naama Jassim, followed by a discussion and exchange of student opinions.

The seminar aimed to empower students and researchers to understand scientific research methodology, develop their skills in preparing research plans and scientific documentation, enhance their ability to choose appropriate research designs, use sources and references accurately, record and analyze results, adhere to research ethics, and develop their skills in presenting ideas and results and engaging in constructive scientific discussion.
