The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra is crowned champion after defeating the College of Pharmacy in the "Knowledge Forum Competition".

The College of Engineering at the University of Basra hosted the launch of the "Knowledge Forum Competition" for students from all colleges within the university (both public and private). Organized by the Student Activities Department at the university's administration, the competition was held amidst an atmosphere brimming with scientific and cultural rivalry.

The College of Marine Sciences made a distinguished appearance at this intellectual gathering with a team comprised of elite students from its natural sciences department. This participation came under the direct guidance and support of the college's dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, underscoring the college's commitment to activating students' role in extracurricular activities and enriching their cultural and intellectual development alongside academic excellence.

The forum included a series of competitive rounds that tested students' knowledge in diverse fields, including general science and technology, Islamic culture and history, literature and arts, and general knowledge. The competition concluded with the College of Marine Sciences team emerging victorious over the College of Pharmacy team.

The forum aims to strengthen cooperation and brotherhood among students of public and private colleges in the governorate, and to create a competitive environment that motivates students to expand their cultural and intellectual horizons, and to uncover student talents in intellectual and cultural fields to represent the university in national forums.
