University of Basra organizes a scientific trip to the Harir Marsh Research Station

The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra organized a scientific field trip for its students to the Harir Marsh Research Station, under the supervision of Dr. Salah Mahdi Saleh, Dr. Milad Ali Hussein, and Dr. Nadia Ali Hussein, as part of its programs aimed at bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application.

The trip aimed to develop the skills of first-year students and broaden their understanding of the impact of marsh research on the environment. It also aimed to introduce students to the fragile environment of the marshes and enhance their understanding of the importance of aquatic ecosystems.

These activities align with the educational objectives of the Department of Marine Sciences and its Applied and Natural Sciences divisions, thus contributing to preparing students to meet scientific and research challenges.
