A humanitarian and inspection visit from the University of Basra to the Al-Noor Institute for the Blind

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a delegation from the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra, in cooperation with a delegation from the "Ataa Al-Samaa for Human Rights" organization, conducted a humanitarian visit to the Al-Nour Institute for the Blind in the governorate. The visit aimed to observe the educational process and offer support to this important segment of society.

During the tour, the two delegations visited classrooms and observed the specialized teaching methods used for visually impaired students, as well as the curriculum. The visit also included the distribution of gifts to the students, an initiative intended to boost morale and promote social solidarity.

At the end of the visit, gifts were distributed to the students to encourage and support them. The delegation members expressed their readiness to provide further academic and practical support to the institute, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ongoing communication between the university and the institute to ensure the achievement of educational goals.

This visit reflects the University of Basra's commitment to actively supporting civil society organizations and improving the services provided to people with disabilities.
