To achieve academic success: A mentoring workshop for first-year students

On the occasion of Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Week, the Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit and the Student Activities Department, held an orientation workshop for first-year students entitled "Achieving Academic Success: Strategies for Excellence in College." The workshop took place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, and was presented by Dr. Milad Ali Hussein in the conference hall.

The workshop aimed to equip new students with the keys to academic success by providing effective strategies to help them adapt to university life and excel in their studies.

The workshop covered a range of key topics, including time management techniques, effective study methods, and the importance of communication with professors and peers. Strategies for dealing with academic stress were also addressed. The workshop included interactive sessions with students, allowing them to ask questions and share experiences. Additionally, first-year students presented a poetry reading and a calligraphy display, and outstanding students from the second, third, and fourth years were recognized with certificates of appreciation.

This workshop reflects the college's commitment to supporting students at the beginning of their academic journey and enhancing their skills to achieve excellence.
