The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra organized an awareness seminar entitled "Let's Rise Together... For a Poverty-Free Society" in Hall 4.

The seminar aimed to exchange views and experiences on marketing techniques, hone professional skills, encourage teamwork, develop personal capabilities, and promote a culture of lifelong learning.

The seminar, presented by Assistant Lecturer Alaa El-Din Karim Atshan, included an overview of the causes of poverty and ways to combat it, as well as the importance of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing accessible loans and career guidance to create job opportunities in the community.

The seminar recommended raising public awareness about the causes of poverty and ways to combat it through workshops and training courses, promoting a culture of teamwork and cooperation among individuals and communities to achieve common goals, organizing training courses aimed at developing the professional and vocational skills of young people, and building partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organizations to provide sustainable job opportunities.
