Under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra organized a ceremony to honor and bid farewell to Professor Dr. Musa Jassim Muhammad Al-Araji on the occasion of his retirement. The ceremony was attended by the Dean's assistants, department heads, and a number of college professors. Attendees expressed their deep appreciation for Dr. Al-Araji's efforts throughout his career.

A commemorative shield was presented by faculty members in the Department of Natural Marine Sciences as an expression of gratitude and appreciation.
