The Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, participated in the discussion committee for the thesis of Nour Abdullah Obaidi, a graduate student in the Department of Earth Sciences at the College of Science at the University of Basra. The thesis was titled: "The optimal selection of desalination plant locations at Basrah city, southern Iraq using multi-criteria decision-making and field data."
