The College of Marine Sciences participated in an expanded meeting to discuss regional developments and changes and their impact on national security, which was held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Basra Governorate Diwan.

The meeting was chaired by the Technical Deputy Governor of Basra, Mr. Zaid Al-Amara, and attended by a number of prominent figures, including Representative Faleh Al-Khazaali, and Mr. Samir Abdul Amir, in addition to security leaders and university elites. The College of Marine Sciences was represented in this meeting by M.M. Azhar Kamel Nasser.
