In the context of promoting the concepts of sustainable environmental development, the College of Marine Sciences - Department of Applied Marine Sciences organized a field trip for third-year students to the Shatt al-Basrah Regulator, with the aim of learning about the mechanism of the regulator and learning about the environmental reality in the Shatt al-Basrah and marine waters.
The visit also included the mangrove nursery, where students learned about the important environmental role of these plants in protecting coasts and enhancing biodiversity.
This trip comes within the scientific field activities that contribute to developing students' applied skills and providing them with practical knowledge about environmental challenges and marine resource management in the region.
