Master's thesis at the University of Basra examines the effect of applying different lighting programs to broiler chickens.

A master's thesis from the College of Marine Sciences, Department of Natural Marine Sciences, University of Basra, investigated the effect of applying different lighting programs on some productive and physiological traits of broiler chickens.

The thesis submitted by the student Nabaa Ali Hamad aimed to compare continuous lighting systems with intermittent ones, and to know their effect on the productive and physiological performance of broiler chickens.

The thesis included a set of parameters distributed between continuous and intermittent lighting and their effect on weight, weight gain, feed conversion efficiency, weight of pieces, and physiological and immune traits.

The thesis concluded that the use of intermittent lighting has a significant effect in improving the feed conversion factor, vital ratio, and economic index scale.
