Dr. Furqan Khalid Al-Daraji, a lecturer at the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basrah, issued a scientific research entitled "Modeling and Analysis of Land Surface Temperature Variations in Basrah Governorate, Iraq, Using Remote Sensing Data and Geomatics".

This research was published in a scientific journal (Springer Proceedings in Earth and Environmental Sciences) within Scopus containers and a prestigious international publishing house (Springer Nature).

The research aims to employ modern technologies in studying climate change and environmental impacts on land surface temperatures in southern Iraq in general and Basra Governorate in particular, which contributes to developing effective strategies to adapt to these changes.
