A lecturer at the University of Basra participates in writing a book with foreign researchers on oceanography

Dr. Hamid Al-Saad, a lecturer at the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra, participated in authoring the book (Studies of Oceanography and Marine Environment in the Arabian Peninsula) for the international publishing house Taylor and Francis CRC press with professors from American, Canadian and Yemeni universities.
Al-Saad's participation included authoring two full chapters of the book. The first chapter dealt with the levels of heavy metals in water, sediments and organisms from the Red Sea and the coasts of the Gulf of Aden in Yemen.
As for the second chapter, it included the locational distribution of hydrocarbon compounds in the Shatt al-Arab River, the northwest of the Arabian Gulf and the Iraqi coast, which is considered one of the important marine studies.
It is worth noting that these two chapters are a qualitative addition to marine research and researchers as well.
