The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra has introduced evening studies for the Departments of Applied Marine Sciences and Natural Marine Sciences for the academic year 2024-2025.

Regarding this innovation, Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa said: After tireless efforts from the teaching and functional staff, the college was able to obtain the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to open evening studies in the college and in the applied and natural marine sciences departments. On this occasion, the staff of our college extends their thanks and praise to His Excellency the Minister of Education. The Higher Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi and the honorable president of our university, the respected Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi.

It is noteworthy that the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra has unique scientific specializations that make it the only college at the level of Iraqi universities in the marine specialization due to Basra Governorate’s unique view of the waters of the Arabian Gulf.
