The College of Marine Sciences, Civil Defense Division, held a field exercise at the Karma Ali site in the College of Veterinary Medicine on how to extinguish fires and how to use fire extinguishers.

The attendees were from the College of Marine Sciences and some of the colleges of Karma Ali Complex, represented by the College of Engineering, the College of Pharmacy, and the College of Physical Education.

The Director of the Civil Defense Division at the University of Basra praised the efforts and attendance of the College of Marine Sciences and other colleges

The Director of the Civil Defense Division stressed the importance of these field practices because of their major role in preparations for the summer season and in gaining experience to limit the legalization of the phenomenon of fires that have recently spread in the summer.
