A committee from the Civil Defense Directorate visited
In Basra Governorate, headed by Colonel Rahim, College of Marine Sciences, to review the civil defense plan.
They were received by the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Abdul Hussein Hatem Ghazi.
The committee reviewed matters related to civil defense procedures, including the authority of fire extinguishers, the schedule of civil defense police stations, and other technical matters.
The committee praised the efforts made by the respected Brigadier General Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifia and the administrative staff.
It expressed its willingness to cooperate in maintaining fire extinguishers and to hold educational courses in this regard.
The committee also recommended a number of simple observations that would strengthen the college’s civil defense system in the service of the public interest.
