The College of Marine Sciences/Department of Applied Marine Sciences organized a scientific trip to Basra International Airport, the Meteorology Department

This is to view devices for measuring climatic and environmental factors within the Fundamentals of Environmental Science course

 The delegation was received by the Director of the Meteorological Department, Mr. Louay Yahya Abd, the head of weather forecasters, Ziad Tariq Muhammad, and the observer, Ali Kazem Yassin.
 
Who gave scientific lectures to learn about the most important devices for measuring climatic factors and meteorological monitoring in the upper and lower layers of the atmosphere, such as temperature, wind speed, rain, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, which have a close relationship with marine meteorology.

The lectures included answering students’ questions and inquiries by the specialized airport staff

 In conclusion, the professors and students thanked the staff of the Meteorological Department at Basra International Airport for the good reception and comprehensive explanation of climate elements and methods of measuring them.
