Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the direct supervision of the Honorable Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa.

Under the slogan (Creativity and Excellence), the annual calendar conference was held for the academic year 2022-2023 for the College of Marine Sciences

This conference witnessed the honoring of Professor Dr. Hamid Talib Al-Saad, former Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, for his efforts made for the College, and Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Rashk, Scientific Assistant to the President of the University of Basra, was honored.

The festival also included the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
Listening to the Iraqi national anthem and reciting Surat Al-Fatiha.

The College of Marine Sciences, its cadres and departments were introduced by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa.
