On Thursday, April 27th, 2023, the College of Marine Sciences’ held a ceremony to celebrate the 59th anniversary of the University of Basrah establishment. The celebration was attended by the Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hamid Al-Saad, the scientific assistant, Dr. Youssef Shafi, and the administrative assistant, Dr. Rajaa Abdul-Kadhim, and the heads of departments, teachers, employees, and a large number of students.

The ceremony was also visited by the Assistant to the Administrative Chancellor of the University, Dr. Ali Humdhi, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr.. Ramzi and Dr. Shukri, Student Affairs Officer, and others.
