On Thursday 30th March 2023, a MSc thesis examof student Shahinaz Wasel took part in the Department of Geology, College of Science. The thesis is supervised by Dr. Hamid Al-Saad, Dean of the College of Marine Sciences. The thesis dealt with the study of the distribution of heavy metals in the waters and sediments of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and their confluence with the Shatt Al-Arab River.
The student obtained the degree of excellence. It is worth noting that the student was able to publish three research papers, within Scopus and international journals, in addition to her participation in a research in a conference in Turkey.
