Prof. Dr. Hamed Al-Saad, Dean of the College of Marine Science, has participated in two scientific conferences in Turkey during December 2022. The first participation was in the Sixth International Conference in Izmir, Turkey, for the period from 20-22/12/2022 The participation was with a research titled 'Heavy metals in the dissolved and suspended part of the water of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and the mouth of the Shatt al-Arab'.

As for the second participation, it was in the Third Conference for Scientific Research in Kayseri for the period from 27-29/12/2022. The participation was with a research titled 'The distribution of PCB compounds in the sediments of the Shatt Al-Arab estuary'.
