Workshop on biopolymerization and preservation technology

On Wednesday, November 7th 2022, the Department of Natural Marine Sciences held a workshop on “Biological Polymerization Technology and Preservation”. The workshop was introduces by Dr. Aadil Qasim from the College of Agriculture. He clarified that technique and the advantages of using it in preserving living samples for educational purposes, as well as identifying the most important materials used in this technique and the advantages of each of them and their procedures. This technique and its potential in preserving models of marine organisms and plants were discussed, as well as the possibility of making models of the internal organs of biology for scientific purposes. .
The workshop also included a practical part to train the participants on the use of epoxy polymer in making models of some organisms and plants.
