A group of the Department of Applied Marine Sciences members has participated in the fourth symposium on marine nature and prospects for coastal investment in the Iraqi Khiran environment in Khor Al-Zubair, Khor Abdullah and Shatt Al-Basra, which was held at the Marine Science Center. The participated group presented a study titlted "Evaluation of the heavy metal impact on the Iraqi coastal investment environment". The group consisted of Prof. Dr. Wesal Fakhry Hassan and Prof. Dr. Donia Khairallah Khassaf and Dr. Alaa Adel Mezher.
