On Thursday, 16th Dec 2021, Dr. Osama Qassem Khalifa, from the Department of Applied Marine Sciences, organized a scientific trip to the Island of Muhammadiyah in the Shatt al-Arab River. The trip was a part of the MSc study of Candidate Ayat Hassan Ali from the College of Science, Department of Earth Sciences, supervised by Dr.Osama. The title of the candidate’s thesis is "Fossil, Sedimentary and Mineral Study of Selected Islands in the Shatt Al-Arab River, Southern Iraq”.
