Fourth Stage Students of the College of Marine Science -Department of Applied Marine Sciences have conducted a scientific trip to the Environmental Impact Division in Basrah. The trip was part of a course titled “the environmental impact of the industrial facility”. The students were accompanied by the course Dr. Imad Jassem Al-Shawi and Dr. Ahmed Jaseb. They were received by the Directorate’s staff with the support of the Director-General, Dr. Walid Al-Moussawi. Scientific lectures were given on the impact of environment and writing environmentreprts by Eng. Hamed Abdel Mahil, Eng. Maryam Abdul-Ilah Jassim, and Eng. Zainab Talib. An open discussion between students and lecturers was followed with a Q&A session. The students had a tour around some laboratories in the Directorate as well. The staff of the Environmental Impact Division expressed their gratitude for joining students such activities.
