On 2/2/2012, graduation debate of postgraduate student, Rafid Ahmed, from the Department of Life Sciences at the College of Science has took place. The student is supervised by Prof. Dr. Hamed Al-Saad, Dean of the College of Marine Sciences. The thesis was entitled “Studying the distribution and sources of PCBs in water, sediments and some aquatic organisms in Shatt Al Arab River”.
